Welcome to the Charlotte Community. Charlotte Public Schools is located just twenty minutes south of Lansing and thirty-five minutes north of Battle Creek, in the heart of Charlotte, MI. With an area of approximately 124 square miles and a population of approximately 8,500 we offer educational services to 2,600 K-12 students. Charlotte Public Schools consists of a high school, a middle school, an upper elementary, and two lower elementary buildings. We also provide early childhood programing and a full service child care program at our child development center. Our other state-of-the-art facilities include our Performing Arts Center, our athletic complex, and our Aquatic Center. You will find our facilities to be safe, orderly, and exceptionally cared for. We take great pride in making sure that our community’s investment in our District is well maintained. We have an excellent, professionally trained staff here to work with your child in every area of their school experience. Charlotte Public Schools focuses on delivering rigorous, high quality, guaranteed curriculum to all of our students. We offer a wide array of unique educational experiences including: foreign language; courses in robotics, engineering, and agriculture; advanced placement courses; on-site post-secondary college courses; and career/technical training programs to name a few. Charlotte Public Schools hosts an abundance of extra-curricular opportunities for each student’s interest. We are one of only a handful of districts in the state to participate in nationally recognized programs such as Harvard Model Congress and Future Farmers of America (FFA). We offer award winning fine arts programs as well as our competitive athletic programs. Charlotte Public Schools has invested in technology that we use to support cutting-edge research-based tools to challenge your child now and into the future. Doing so helps make sure your student is prepared to compete and succeed in the global marketplace. Our District is financially stable even in today’s uncertain fiscal times.
