Come Celebrate Downtown Charlotte It’s a Great Place
This is more than a slogan — it’s our firm belief in our hometown. We invite you to Celebrate Charlotte along with us, and enjoy it’s quaint and historic downtown, located at the crossroads of Michigan highways 50 & 79. Downtown Charlotte has a lot to offer our visitors, residents and those just passing through.
Whether your interest lies in specialty shops with friendly service, award-winning restaurants, evening entertainment or plain, old-fashioned family fun, Downtown Charlotte is here for you! Downtown Charlotte features a number of great restaurants, pubs, home improvement stores, a historic Art Deco theater that still shows first-run feature films, and many historic sites and buildings. Downtown Charlotte is easy to find, but hard to leave. Just minutes from Lansing, Jackson and Battle Creek, it’s also reasonably close to Grand Rapids & Kalamazoo.
You don’t need a special reason to visit Downtown Charlotte, but we’re happy to give you a few. We’re home to a number of fun, family-friendly festivals, including the annual Frontier Days Festival & Rodeo in September; the Celebrate Charlotte! Festival in June; Michigan’s oldest continuous Bluegrass Festival, also in June; the Eaton County 4-H Fair in July; Summer Concerts on the Square (Courthouse Square) every Thursday evening in July & August; Charlotte Cruisers car shows in June & September; or, for a real taste of hometown life, the community’s popular City Wide Garage Sales, held each year in May. There are also special Halloween and Holiday Kick-Off events in October and November.
A farmer’s market also operates each Saturday morning throughout the summer on the historic 1885 Courthouse Square.
Take time to enjoy beautiful Charlotte this season.
