Many Points of Pride in Charlotte
By Donald Sovey, CPA
Owner of School and Municipal Advisory Services, PC
Member of Charlotte Chamber of Commerce
“Since moving to Charlotte in 1977, I continue to be impressed by the many great qualities we are blessed to have in this community. In addition to the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, I have worked as a volunteer with many of our organizations that help to bring a great quality of life to the region.”
*One of these points of pride will be included in every month to recognize the positive aspects of our great community.
Strong Sense of Community – I am continually impressed at how well community members come together for the common good. The quality of leadership and support in this community is second to none.

CHAMBER AMBASSADOR HIGHLIGHT:
Kyle Ranney is a Commercial Insurance Agent for Lyman & Sheets Insurance. Kyle found his passion for insurance while studying at Olivet College where he graduated in 2016 with a degree in Business Analysis in Insurance. “I’ve always been passionate for the insurance industry. It’s our responsibility to make sure the proper insurance program is in place with the right coverage to ensure that a business can stay in business after a loss.” Kyle is involved in the Charlotte community by serving as a Charlotte Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, serves on the board of CAN DO!, and serves on the board of the Charlotte Rotary Club. “When I moved to Charlotte in May of 2016 I saw a lot of opportunity for the community. There are a lot of people and groups working together to better Charlotte. It’s exciting how much is going on here. That’s why I joined the Ambassador group. It’s a great way to help strengthen the business community and meet business leaders in the community.” Kyle is set to get married in October to Jamie Sturgeon. Together they intend to help build the community in Charlotte. “Charlotte is a great place to raise a family. The school district is great. There are opportunities in the arts, sports, and youth groups in the community. I’m an Eagle Scout myself. I hope my children will strive to better the community as well.“
